Construction Startup Notice- May 19, 2026
Spreader-Laid Asphalt Patching and Traffic Calming
The City of Greater Sudbury will be completing road improvements and installing traffic-calming measures on Lansing Avenue between Lasalle Boulevard and Madison Avenue in Sudbury.
Construction by the City’s contractor, Beamish Construction, will be completed between June and September, 2026.
This project is part of the Council-approved traffic calming program and is funded in part through the Automated Speed Enforcement Road Safety Fund to reduce speeding and help create safer neighbourhood streets for all road users.
Work will typically take place during daylight hours, Monday to Friday.

- Large asphalt patching on Lansing Avenue between Madison Avenue and Lasalle Boulevard in 2026
- Pre-Engineering Work on Lansing Avenue between Madison Avenue and Maley Drive beginning in 2026 for work in 2027.
- Eleven speed tables will be installed along the entire length of Lansing Avenue to help reduce vehicle speeds and improve overall road safety by the end of 2027.
