Route 1 Main Line

High frequency South End to New Sudbury Centre

Replaces: This is an entirely new route

Travel pattern:

South End Walmart to New Sudbury Centre via Long Lake Road, Paris Street, Notre Dame Avenue and LaSalle Boulevard. Includes a stop at the Downtown Transit Hub, 9 Elm St.

Frequency (Based on Monday to Friday Travel):

Every 15 minutes between 6:15 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. then every 30 minutes until 12:30 a.m.

Key Destination:

Travels to the main entrance of Health Sciences North every 15 minutes during peak periods.

Replaces: Route 401 Barry Downe / Cambrian

Travel pattern:

Downtown Transit Hub, 9 Elm St. to Cambrian College via the Kingsway and Barry Downe Road. Includes a stop at New Sudbury Centre to connect with other routes.

Frequency (Based on Monday to Friday Travel):

Every 15 minutes between 6:30 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. then every 45 minutes until 12:30 a.m.

Key Destination:

Travels to Silver Hills Centre, Marcus Dr.

Route 3 Laurentian University via Regent

Sudbury Outpatient Centre, Extendicare York, Health Sciences North

Replaces: Route 501 Regent / University

Travel pattern:

Downtown Transit Hub, 9 Elm St. to Laurentian University via Elgin Street, Brady Street, Riverside Drive, Regent Street, Ramsey View Court and Walford Road. Includes a stop at the main entrance to the Sudbury Outpatient Centre on trips leaving downtown. Passengers entering and leaving the Outpatient Centre can take this bus. Includes a stop at Health Sciences North but does not stop at the main entrance.

Frequency (Based on Monday to Friday Travel):

  • New! Every 15 minutes between 7 and 9 a.m. and between 2 and 4 p.m.
  • Every 30 minutes between 6:30 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.
  • 11:50 p.m. is last route.

Key Destination:

Extendicare York and Sudbury Outpatient Centre. Also serves the Larch Street Medical Centre when travelling to the Downtown Transit Hub from Laurentian University.

High frequency Downtown Sudbury to Health Sciences North and Laurentian University

Replaces: Route 500 University via Paris

Travel pattern:

Downtown Transit Hub, 9 Elm St. to Laurentian University via Cedar Street, Elgin Street and Paris Street. Includes a stop at Health Sciences North but does not stop at the main entrance. This is designed to be an express route to Laurentian University with service to Health Sciences North.

Frequency (Based on Monday to Friday Travel):

Every 30 minutes between 7:07 a.m. and 6:07 p.m.

Key Destination:

Larch Street Medical Centre when travelling to the Downtown Transit Hub from Laurentian University.

Route 10 Minnow Lake

Downtown Sudbury to Moonlight at Bancroft, Finlandia Village

Replaces: Route 101 Howey/Moonlight

Travel pattern:

Downtown Transit Hub, 9 Elm St. to Bancroft Drive and Moonlight Road via Van Horne Street, Howey Drive and Bancroft Drive. Summer route serves Moonlight Beach.

Frequency (Based on Monday to Friday Travel):

  • Every 30 minutes between 6:10 a.m. and 8:10 a.m.
  • Every 60 minutes between 8:10 a.m. and 2:10 p.m. 
  • Every 30 minutes between 2:10 p.m. and 5:40 p.m.
  • Every 60 minutes between 5:40 p.m. and 10:40 p.m.
  • 11:50 p.m. is last route.

  • Every 60 minutes between 6:15 p.m. and 11:15 p.m.

Travels to Sudbury Tax Centre

NEW: Starting August 29 Route 11 Donovan – Collège Boréal will no longer travel into the New Sudbury Centre when returning to the Downtown Transit Hub from Cambrian College. Route 11 will continue to serve New Sudbury Centre when travelling from the Downtown Transit Hub to Collège Boréal and Cambrian College.

Downtown Transit Hub, 9 Elm St. to Copper Cliff via Lorne Street.

  • Every 30 minutes between 6:15 a.m. and 9:15 a.m.

This bus connects with Route 101 Lively in Copper Cliff to bring passengers downtown.

Downtown Sudbury, South End Walmart, Southview Drive, Kelly Lake Road, Charlotte Street, Wembley Street

Replaces: Route 819 Copper/Four Corners

Travel pattern:

Downtown Transit Hub, 9 Elm St. to South End Walmart via Wembley Drive, Hyland  Drive and Regent Street.

Frequency (Based on Monday to Friday Travel):

  • Every 30 minutes between 6:15 a.m. and 9:15 a.m.
  • Every 60 minutes between 9:15 a.m. and 2:15 p.m.
  • Every 30 minutes between 2:15 p.m. and 5:45 p.m.
  • Every 60 minutes between 5:45 p.m. and 10:45 p.m.
  • 11:50 p.m. is last route.

Key Destination:

This bus stops at the corner of Southview Drive and Kelly Lake Road to connect with GOVA Zone partner taxi companies. GOVA Zone service is available on Southview Drive.

Loop to/from New Sudbury Centre

Replaces: Route 301 LaSalle/Madison and Route 302 LaSalle/Cambrian

Travel pattern:

Loops to and from New Sudbury Centre via LaSalle Boulevard, Falconbridge Highway, Old Falconbridge Road, Graywood Drive and Lansing Avenue.

Frequency (Based on Monday to Friday Travel):

  • Starts at 5:45 a.m., then every 30 minutes between 6:00 a.m. and 6 p.m
  • Every 60 minutes from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m.

This is a neighbourhood route connecting residents with high frequency buses at New Sudbury Centre.

Route 21 Grandview Commuter

Sudbury Tax Centre, Pioneer Manor, New Sudbury Centre, Cambrian College

Replaces: Route 141-142 Westmount/Shopping Centre

Travel pattern:

Downtown Transit Hub, 9 Elm St. to Cambrian College via Notre Dame Avenue, LaSalle Boulevard and Barry Downe Road. Return trip from Cambrian College via Woodbine Avenue, Rideau Street and Notre Dame Avenue.  Includes a stop at New Sudbury Centre to connect with high frequency buses.

Replaces: This is an entirely new route. A small portion of this route is currently served by Route 141-142 Westmount/Shopping Centre in the morning.

Loop to and from New Sudbury Centre via Holland Road, Woodbine Avenue and Rideau Street.

Frequency (Based on Monday to Friday Travel):

Every 60 minutes between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Key Destination:

This is a neighbourhood route connecting residents with high frequency buses at New Sudbury Centre.

Loop to and from New Sudbury Centre via Hawthorne Drive, Barry Downe Road, Marcus Drive, Falconbridge Road and LaSalle Boulevard.

Frequency (Based on Monday to Friday Travel):

Every 60 minutes between 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Frequency (Based on Monday to Friday Travel):

  • Every 30 minutes between 6 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.
  • Every 60 minutes between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
  • Every 30 minutes between 2:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.
  • Every 60 minutes between 6 pm. and 12 a.m.

Route 26 McKim Local

Downtown Sudbury, Kathleen Street, Frood Road, Ethelbert, Elm Street

*Due to emergency repairs to the CP rail crossing at Beatty Street and Frood Road taking place from Wednesday, September 11 to Saturday, September 14, GOVA Route 26 McKim Local will temporarily pick up and drop off passengers at the corner of Frood Road and Kathleen Street. Once emergency repairs to the rail track are complete, Route 26 will resume its regular route to McKim Street and Granite Street.

Serving the Donovan from the Downtown Transit Hub, 9 Elm St., via Kathleen Street, Frood Road, McKim Street, McNeil Boulevard and Elm Street.

Replaces: Route 007 North End

Travel pattern:

Serving the Flour Mill from the Downtown Transit Hub, 9 Elm St., via Leslie Street, King Street, Mabel Avenue, MacKenzie Street and Ste. Anne Road.

Frequency (Based on Monday to Friday Travel):

Every 60 minutes between 6:30 a.m. and 11:30 p.m.

Key Destination(s):

This is a neighbourhood route connecting residents with high frequency buses at the Downtown Transit Hub. Due to steep hills in the neighbourhood, routes vary in the summer and the winter. Does not service Pioneer Manor.

  • Starts at 5:45 a.m., then every 30 minutes between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.
  • Every 60 minutes between 6 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.
  • 12 a.m. is last route

Route 101 Lively

Direct to South End Walmart with connection to Downtown Sudbury via Copper Cliff

Replaces: Route 701 Lively

Travel pattern :

Starts at Naughton Community Centre and continues straight down M.R. 24 to Little Creighton. No longer travels on side streets in Lively. GOVA Zone connections via partner taxi companies from Naughton and Whitefish.

Frequency (Based on Monday to Friday Travel):

  • Departing Naughton every 60 minutes between 5:33 a.m. and 8:18 a.m.
  • Every 2 hours between 8:18 a.m. and 10:28 p.m.

Key Destination(s):

Downtown Sudbury via transfer to Route 13 in Copper Cliff or direct to South End Walmart via Kelly Lake Road, Robinson Drive and Regent Street.

Route 102 Garson

Replaces: Route 303 Garson/Falconbridge

Travel pattern:

Serves Church Street and Orell Street coming into Garson then follows Falconbridge Highway and LaSalle Boulevard to New Sudbury Centre. No longer travels into Falconbridge and Skead. GOVA Zone connections via partner taxi companies from Falconbridge and Skead.

Frequency (Based on Monday to Friday Travel):

  • Start at 5:30 a.m., then every 30 minutes between 6:15 a.m. and 8:15 a.m.
  • Every 90 minutes between 8:15 a.m. and 2:15 p.m.
  • Every 45 minutes between 2:15 p.m. and 5:15 p.m.
  • Every 90 minutes between 5:15 p.m. and 12:30 a.m.

Residents of Skead can call 90 minutes ahead for any GOVA Zone connection time highlighted in purple on the attached schedule (a total of eight trips daily Monday to Friday and seven trips daily on weekends).

Residents of Falconbridge can call 90 minutes ahead for a GOVA Zone connection from their home to the Route 102 Garson bus from Monday to Friday at 10:05 a.m., 1:05 p.m., 8:35 p.m. and 11:35 and on weekends at 10:05 a.m., 1:05 p.m., 8:35 p.m. and 11:35 p.m.

Residents of Falconbridge also have the option of meeting a GOVA Zone shuttle at a stop at Lindsley and Rix or Longyear and Rix from Monday to Friday at 5:34 a.m., 6:49 a.m., 3:48 p.m. and 5:18 p.m. Door-to-door GOVA Zone service is not available at these times in Falconbridge.

  • Every 90 minutes from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Replaces: Route 703 Val Caron/Hanmer/Capreol

Travel pattern:

Consists of two routes: Route 105B serving Blezard Valley and Route 105C serving Capreol. Buses travel directly to Blezard Valley, Val Caron, Val Therese, Hanmer and Capreol. Also serves McCrea Heights and Guilletville. GOVA Zone connections via partner taxi companies from Garson, Chelmsford and Municipal Road 15.

Frequency for 105C (Based on Monday to Friday Travel):

  • Every 15 to 30 minutes between 6 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.
  • Every 60 minutes between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
  • Every 30 minutes between 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
  • Every 60 minutes between 5:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.
