Watermain Lining
Construction Update- June 17, 2026
The City of Greater Sudbury will be completing watermain lining to extend the life of the City’s water distribution system in various locations.
Construction by the City’s contractor, Fer-Pal Construction Limited, began in June 2025 and will continue to be carried out in phases over two construction seasons, with completion expected in fall 2026.
Work will typically take place during daylight hours Monday to Friday. Weekend work may be required.

East Street, Coniston
Ward 12:
Fielding Street and Delaware Avenue, New Sudbury
Leon Avenue, New Sudbury

Construction Details:
- The contractor will install a temporary, above-ground water service supply system to maintain water service during construction.
- Rehabilitation of the existing watermain will be completed through internal lining.
- Completion of all surface restoration works, including roadway, boulevard, and affected areas will take place one lining is complete.
