Construction Notice- June10, 2026
Pavement Rehabilitation and Resurfacing
The City of Greater Sudbury will be completing road and water improvements on various roadways listed below.
Leon Avenue, Sudbury, between Lamothe Street and Lasalle Boulevard
Construction by the City’s contractors, FERPAL Construction Ltd. and GIP Interpaving Limited, will begin in July, 2026 and is expected to be phased over two construction seasons, with completion expected in August, 2027.
Work will typically take place during daylight hours Monday to Friday. Weekend or night work may be required.
Construction Details 2026 (July to September 2026):
- Install a temporary, above-ground water service supply system
- Install watermain lining
- Restoration work
Construction Details 2027 (June to August 2027):
- Removal of existing pavement
- Placement of new pavement
- Granular shouldering
Lloyd Street, Lively, between MR55 to the north end
The City of Greater Sudbury will be deferring road improvements on Lloyd Street, between MR55 to the north end, in Lively.
As part of the City’s road rehabilitation strategy, Lloyd Street has been deferred to maximize the investment in road infrastructure. Lloyd Street will be completed at a future date.
Montée Genereux Street, Chelmsford, between Pilon Street and the north end
The City of Greater Sudbury will be deferring road improvements on Montée Genereux, between Pilon Street and the north end, in Chelmsford.
As part of the City’s road rehabilitation strategy, Montée Genereux has been deferred to maximize the investment in road infrastructure. Montée Genereux will be completed at a future date.
Morgan Road, Dowling, between Larchwood Avenue to the south end
The City of Greater Sudbury will be deferring road improvements on Morgan Road, between Larchwood Avenue to the south end, in Dowling.
As part of the City’s road rehabilitation strategy, Morgan Road has been deferred to maximize the investment in road infrastructure. Morgan Road will be completed at a future date.
Old Falconbridge Road, Sudbury, between Maley Drive to the north end
Construction by the City’s contractor, GIP Interpaving Limited, will be completed in the 2026 construction season.
Work will typically take place during daylight hours Monday to Friday. Weekend or night work may be required.

- Granular shouldering
