Amanda Street, Coniston

Coniston Culvert & Sanitary Rehabilitation

The City of Greater Sudbury will be completing culvert and sanitary improvements on Amanda Street at Second Avenue, in Coniston.

Construction by the City’s contractor, MCA Contracting Ltd., will begin in June, and is expected to be completed by August, 2026.

Work will typically take place during daylight hours Monday to Friday. Weekend or night work may be required.

Final asphalt will be completed in 2026.

Construction Details:

Removal and replacement of existing asphalt boulevard, concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter.
Remove the existing rock-filled baskets to allow crews to install dewatering equipment and temporary supports for the excavation.
Partial removal and replacement of existing section of concrete box culvert.
Replacement of existing catchbasin, pedestrian handrail, concrete culvert and sanitary sewer.
Reinstatement of rock-filled baskets and vegetation as part of restoration works.
