Construction Update Notice - August 17, 2026
Lively Infrastructure Upgrades
The City of Greater Sudbury recognizes that the pause in construction activities on Anderson Drive has been longer than expected and appreciates the patience of residents and businesses affected by the delay.
The utility has temporarily suspended its operations and is expected to return this week to complete the remaining underground gas service relocations and replacements. Belanger Construction, the City’s contractor, will begin construction activities once the utility work is complete, with a scheduled start date of August 25, 2026.
Thank you for your continued understanding as we work to deliver important infrastructure improvements for the community. The City and its contractors remain committed to public safety and to completing the project as efficiently as possible.
