Road Reconstruction
Copper and Franklin Streets, Falconbridge
The City of Greater Sudbury is planning road and water improvements on Copper Street, from MacMillan Drive to Parkinson Street, and water improvements on Franklin Street, from Mott to Lindsley Streets, in Falconbridge.
Construction by the City’s contractor, Denis Gratton Construction Ltd., will begin in August 2026 and the work is expected to be phased over two construction seasons, with completion expected in August 2027.
Work will typically take place during daylight hours Monday to Friday.

Construction Details:
Copper Street:
- Watermain infrastructure upgrades will start in the 2027 construction season
- Drainage system improvements from MacMillan Drive to Franklin Street for the 2026 construction season, and the rest of the street drainage improvements to be completed in 2027
- Full road reconstruction, including new curb, and asphalt surface in 2026 from MacMillian Drive to Franklin Street.
- Full road reconstruction, including new curb, sidewalk and asphalt surface from Franklin to Parkinson Streets in the 2027 construction season
Franklin Street 2026:
- Watermain infrastructure upgrades
- Installation of new curb and asphalt surface
