Construction Startup Notice- June 9, 2026
Road Reconstruction and Rehabilitation
The City of Greater Sudbury will be completing road improvements on Long Lake Road, between St. Charles Lake Road to Gateway Drive and on St. Charles Lake Road, from Long Lake Road to Brenda Drive west, in Sudbury.
Construction by the City’s contractor, Teranorth Construction & Engineering Ltd., will begin in June 2026, and is expected to be phased over two construction seasons, with completion expected in August 2027.
Work will typically take place during daylight hours Monday to Friday. Weekend or night work may be required.
Final asphalt will be completed in 2027.

- Shared turning lane
- Sidewalks on both sides
- Cycling lanes on both sides
- New asphalt and concrete curbs
- Storm sewer upgrades
St. Charles Lake Road Project Highlights (2027):
- New asphalt
- Drainage improvements
- Infrastructure spot repairs as required
