Leaf and Yard Trimmings

Bi-weekly leaf and yard trimming collection resumes on your regularly scheduled garbage and leaf and yard collection week and day, beginning the week of April 13.

Waste services that have not yet resumed:
- Furniture, appliance and electronic collection and pick-up requests are unavailable until further notice.
- Requests for new or additional Green Carts are unavailable until further notice.
The City of Greater Sudbury collects leaf and yard trimmings from household residents on a roadside collection program year round.
If you are on a roadside pick-up route, place your leaf and yard trimmings out for collection on your regularly scheduled leaf and yard collection day.
Leaf and yard trimmings include:
- leaves
- garden trimmings
- house and garden plants
- hedge and tree trimming
- twigs and branches
- grass clippings
- brush and other plant materials
- natural Christmas trees
No sod, root balls, stumps from below ground level, gravel, soil, treenuts, vegetables or fruits (including crab apples).
