Leaf and Yard Trimmings

The City of Greater Sudbury collects leaf and yard trimmings from household residents on a roadside collection program year round.

If you are on a roadside pick-up route, place your leaf and yard trimmings out for collection on the same day as your garbage, recycling and green cart.

Leaf and yard trimmings include:

  • leaves
  • garden trimmings
  • house and garden plants
  • hedge and tree trimming
  • twigs and branches
  • grass clippings
  • brush and other plant materials
  • natural Christmas trees

No sod, root balls, stumps from below ground level, gravel, soil or fruit.
