A by-law is a law passed by a municipality. By-laws must be founded on statutory authority, delegated to the municipality by the Province.
It is intended to bind not only the Council, but also officers and servants of the municipality and the public.
Where applicable, consolidated versions of by-laws reflect the original by-law as amended by subsequent by-laws. Consolidated versions are unofficial and are provided for convenience only. Official versions may be obtained by contacting Clerk’s Services at 3-1-1 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In the event of a discrepancy between the original by-laws and the consolidated versions, the original by-laws shall prevail.
