City of Greater Sudbury Offering Free Sports Program for Children Ages 6 to 9

The City of Greater Sudbury is excited to announce the return of the Feel Free to have a Ball program for a fall session. This program has been made possible through a grant from the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Sport. Feel Free to Have a Ball will provide youth aged 6-9 an opportunity to learn and participate in traditional and emerging ball sports in a fun, safe and non-competitive environment.

Residents Invited to Free Public Skate for Chelmsford Community Centre/Arena Reopening

Residents and media are invited to the grand reopening of the Chelmsford Community Centre/Arena on Saturday, September 12, 2015. The arena is reopening after having been closed for rehabilitation over the 2014-2015 season.

City of Greater Sudbury to Conduct Water Study in the Whitson River

On Tuesday September 1 or Wednesday September 2, depending on weather conditions, the City of Greater of Sudbury will place a safe, environmentally-friendly fluorescing red dye into the Whitson River, downstream of Lavallee Road where Azilda Creek meets the Whitson River. The dye will temporarily turn the water a reddish-colour.
