Road Rehabilitation
The City of Greater Sudbury is planning road improvements on Long Lake Road, between St. Charles Lake Road to Gateway Drive and on St. Charles Lake Road from Long Lake Road to Brenda Drive west, in Sudbury.
This project is part of the Council-approved Capital Project for Arterial/Collector Roads Rehabilitation and Local Roads Rehabilitation.
Expected Start Date: Spring 2026
Expected End Date: Summer 2027

Once a contractor has been selected, affected property owners will receive a construction notice with more information about the work.

Long Lake Road Project Highlights (2026):
- Shared turning lane
- Sidewalks on both sides
- Cycling lanes on both sides
- New asphalt and concrete curbs
- Storm sewer upgrades
St. Charles Lake Road Project Highlights (2027):
- New Asphalt
- Drainage Improvements
- Infrastructure spot repairs as required
