Sudbury Landfill scale down for repairs

Due to technical issues with the scale, residents should expect longer than usual wait times at the Sudbury landfill until further notice. The site will remain open, but the scale will not be in operation. This means:

• All chargeable loads will be assessed tipping fees based on flat rates for “When Weigh Scales Are Not In Operation” as outlined in Schedule G&I-2 of the User Fee By-law at greatersudbury.ca/landfill-livestream.
• Customers will be required to pay at the gate before entering the site.
• Customers can expect delays to enter/exit the site at the scale house. Internal site operations will be unaffected.

Residents may visit one of the other landfill or transfer stations within the city, view the live camera feed at the Sudbury landfill site to see how busy it is before making the trip and check the scale status update at greatersudbury.ca/landfill-livestream
