Performance Dashboard Provides Improved Access to Key Performance Data

Feb 16, 2022

As part of its commitment to regular and transparent reporting to the community, the City of Greater Sudbury has launched a new online Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Dashboard.

The dashboard provides a collection of KPIs that offers insight into the organization’s financial performance, customer service, internal business processes and employee experience.

“It is important for Greater Sudbury residents to have an open and transparent government that works both for them and with them,” said Greater Sudbury Mayor Brian Bigger. “This dashboard ensures we are providing more consistent, up-to-date information and supports Council’s commitment to transparency and accountability.”

The KPI Dashboard will replace the static monthly overview of statistics reported through the CAO quarterly report since December 2017. The new dashboard provides more interactive and comprehensive reporting, and will be updated regularly as the CAO quarterly reports are presented to the Finance and Administration Committee. It not only offers residents and stakeholders high-level service updates, but also allows them to drill down to specific details and view data trends over time.

“Municipal government plays many roles, and all of them are important for different members of our community,” said City of Greater Sudbury Chief Administrative Office Ed Archer. “This reporting system is about accountability, and we want to make data about our performance easy for people to access. It is also important for reviewing trends, identifying where we’re doing well and pinpointing areas where we could make further improvements.”

The dashboard can be found at greatersudbury.ca/dashboard and will be updated quarterly. It is currently profiling data from 2019 to 2021.
