Local Groups Invited to Apply for Transportation Demand Management Community Grant

Feb 24, 2020

The City of Greater Sudbury is now accepting applications for funding under the Transportation Demand Management (TDM) community grant program.

The program provides non-profit or community organizations with funding assistance for community-based activities focused on reducing single-occupant vehicle trips and increasing opportunities for active and sustainable transportation. Eligible activities may include social marketing and travel planning programs, community events, and education, promotional and awareness programs.

The grant program is part of the TDM Plan, adopted by City Council in June 2018. The plan outlines an approach to deliver programs and initiatives that complement the City’s investments in transit, walking and cycling infrastructure.

Applications will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2020.

The TDM Community Grant program supports the 2019-2027 City of Greater Sudbury Strategic Plan of Council to invest in infrastructure for community recreation with a focus on quality of life. For more information on the program, including details on how to apply, visit www.greatersudbury.ca/tdm.
