Important Information about 2020 Final Property Tax Bills
Jul 24, 2020
Final property tax bills will be mailed in early August with due dates of September 1 and October 1, 2020. Due dates for the final tax bills were approved by City Council at the July 7 meeting.
Final tax bills are traditionally due in June and July of each year but because of the COVID-19 situation, due dates for the 2020 final tax bills were delayed to the fall.
There are number of ways to pay your property tax bill, including:
- by mail, in person or via telephone banking
- through your mortgage, arranged through your mortgage company
- by enrolling in a pre-authorized payment plan where payments are automatically withdrawn from your bank account either monthly or on the instalment due date.
Property owners enrolled in the pre-authorized tax payment plan who feel they may have difficulty meeting the payment can call 705-674-4455, extension 2601 to review available options.
If you haven’t received your final tax bill by August 20, please contact the City’s tax department at 705-674-4455, extension 2601.
