Residents and Businesses of Garson, New Sudbury, Downtown, Gatchell, Flour Mill, Donovan South End and Minnow Lake Advised of Potential Fluctuating Water Pressure or Discoloured Water

Oct 2, 2017

The City of Greater Sudbury will be making improvements to the trunk water main on Second Avenue, Tuesday, October 3, as part of the Second Avenue Infrastructure Improvement project. Due to this work, residents in the Garson, New Sudbury, Downtown, Gatchell, Flour Mill, Donovan, the South End and Minnow Lake areas may experience fluctuating water pressure or discoloured water. The work is anticipated to be complete by Thursday, October 5, at 6 p.m.

Residents who notice discoloured water are asked to run the cold water tap closest to their water meter for several minutes until water is clear of any sediment from water pipes. In the event of prolonged discolouration or low water pressure, residents are asked to call 3-1-1.

The City of Greater Sudbury thanks residents for their patience and cooperation.
