Residents of Coniston, Wahnapitae, Markstay and Sudbury, including New Sudbury, may notice low water pressure on Wednesday, March 9, during a scheduled temporary shutdown of the water main feed from the Wanapitei Water Treatment Plant for upgrades to its treatment system.

Due to milder weather, the City of Greater Sudbury has closed both the Ramsey Lake Skating Path and Queen's Athletic Skating Oval. We will continue to monitor the rinks and update the public if conditions improve.

In an effort to reduce the number of human-bear interactions, Greater Sudbury Council amended by-law 2006-280 to change the times residents can leave their household garbage, Blue Box recyclables and Green Cart organics at their curbside.

Lively and area residents are invited to attend a public consultation on Wednesday, March 9, anytime between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Kinsmen Hall, 15 Kin Drive, to learn about plans to upgrade approximately 1,400 meters of sanitary sewer.
