Oil Spill in Junction Creek
Mar 30, 2015
The City of Greater Sudbury would like to notify residents that there has been an oil spill in Junction Creek near downtown Sudbury.
The City is working with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change to determine from where the oil is originating and have made arrangements to collect and remove the oil from the creek. There appears to be around 25 litres of oil, however final numbers have not been determined. The City will monitor the spill and continue investigating the source of the contaminants.
Junction Creek is not part of the City of Greater Sudbury's drinking water system.
