On February 6, 2025, residents were invited to a virtual information session on boating activities on local lakes. The purpose of the community webinar was to provide information on Transport Canada’s Vessel Operation Restriction (VORR), enforcement of boating regulations and shoreline protection as it relates to boating activities. Representatives from Transport Canada, the Greater Sudbury Police Service Marine Unit, Conservation Sudbury and the City of Greater Sudbury attended to answer questions.
