Pavement Rehabilitation and Resurfacing

The City of Greater Sudbury is planning road improvements on various roadways listed below.

This project is part of the Council-approved Capital Project for Pavement Rehabilitation and Resurfacing. 

Expected Start Date: Spring/Summer 2026

Expected End Date: Fall 2026

Once a contractor has been selected, affected property owners will receive a construction notice with more information about the work. 

Edna Street, Chelmsford, between Monique Street and Windstar Avenue

Project Highlights:

  • Surface asphalt placement
  • Spot concrete curb repairs

Leon Avenue, Sudbury, between Lamothe Street and Lasalle Boulevard

Project Highlights:

  • Removal of existing pavement
  • Placement of new pavement
  • Granular shouldering

Lloyd Street, Lively, between MR55 to the north end

Project Highlights:

  • Removal of existing pavement
  • Placement of new pavement
  • Granular shouldering

Montée Genereux Street, Chelmsford, between Pilon Street and the north end

Project Highlights:

  • Surface asphalt placement
  • Spot concrete curb repairs

Morgan Road, Dowling, between Larchwood Avenue to the south end

Project Highlights:

  • Removal of existing pavement
  • Placement of new pavement
  • Granular shouldering
  • Ditching improvements

Old Falconbridge Road, Sudbury, between Maley Drive to the north end

Project Highlights:

  • Removal of existing pavement
  • Placement of new pavement
  • Granular shouldering
