Homelessness Initiatives

Emergency Shelter Programs within the City of Greater Sudbury

Effective September 1, 2019 to October 31, 2019

  • Foyer Notre Dame shelter will provide for youth ages 16 and 17 years only. (307 Cedar Street)
  • Cedar Place will provide for women aged 18 and over, as well as for families with children (261 Cedar Street)
  • CMHA temporary mens shelter will provide for men aged 18 and over ( opening September 4th) (146 Larch Street)

Effective November 1, 2019 ( expected date)

  • Off The Street low barrier shelter will provide for all gender adults aged 18 and older (200 Larch Street)
  • Cedar Place will provide for women aged 20 and over and families with children (261 Cedar Street)
  • Foyer Notre Dame will continue to provide for youth and 16 and 17 (307 Cedar Street)
