Modified Units
What if I need a special type of unit?
Please complete steps 1 to 5 above in "How to Apply for Community Housing" to determine if you are eligible for a modified unit.
If you require a wheelchair accessible/modified unit:
- Fill out a Medical Request for Modified Unit Form (PDF, 55,3 KB). This is required to verify the modifications you will need within the unit and/or building.
If you need an additional bedroom for an overnight attendant, to store substantial medical equipment or for other medical reasons:
- Fill out an Attending Physician's Report for Additional Bedrooms Form (PDF, 38KB). We will review your request to ensure it meets our occupancy standards.
- Provide any additional information which would be useful to review your request (type and size of medical equipment you need to store, letter from agency which provides overnight support).
Some housing providers have modified units or units where support services are provided.
