Simmons Road Bridge, Chelmsford
The City of Greater Sudbury will be completing investigation work in advance of proposed road improvements on Simmons Road Bridge, approximately 550 meters west of Gordon Lake Road, in Chelmsford.
This project is part of the Council-approved Capital Project for Simmons Road Bridge to prepare detailed design services for the rehabilitation of Simmons Road Bridge.
Investigation Details:
- Soils investigation will be completed to determine sub-soil surface conditions.
- Boreholes will be advanced using a truck mounted drill rig.
- Simmons Road Bridge will be closed during the geotechnical investigation fieldwork from January 20 to January 22, 2026. The road closure will be in effect daily from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
