Road Reconstruction
The City of Greater Sudbury is planning road and water improvements on Second Avenue, between Bancroft Drive and Kenwood Street in Sudbury.
This project is part of the Council-approved Capital Project for Roads with Water/Wastewater Improvements.
Everyone is invited to attend at any time between
5 and 7 p.m.

Current Construction Details:
- Reconstruction of Second Avenue complete with new asphalt and curbs with the introduction of shared turning lane.
- Replacement of the existing sidewalk and addition of a new sidewalk on the east side.
- Off-road, paved cycle tracks on both sides of the road.
- Watermain replacement including services and hydrants.
- Storm sewer replacement.
- Relocation of overhead utilities and improvements to street lighting.
Project Highlights:
- Marking the locations of underground utilities, such as gas, water and cable so that the construction work does not interfere with these utilities.
- Soils investigation will be completed to determine sub-soil surface conditions.
- Rock probes will be completed to determine depth of bedrock.
- Camera inspection of your sanitary sewer service.
