Construction Startup Notice - May 2, 2025
Martin Road Bridge Replacement
Martin Road, Sudbury
Work will resume this spring on Martin Road Bridge, between Valleyview Road and MR 15, in Val Caron.
Construction by the City’s contractor, Dominion Construction, will resume May 2025 and is expected to be completed June 2025.
Work will typically take place during daylight hours Monday to Friday. Weekend or night work may be required.

Construction Details:
Previous Seasons Accomplishments:
- Completed removal and replacement of existing bridge with a single span concrete slab on steel girder bridge with concrete foundations.
- Partial installation of approach roadside safety features including steel beam guide rails.
Remaining Activities Include:
- Final approach grading and roadside safety features including steel beam guide rails and energy attenuators.
- Binder asphalt along approaches.
- Final surface asphalt along the approaches and bridge deck.
- Final site restoration.
During the remaining construction, Martin Road Bridge will be closed to all traffic. Access to Martin Road on both sides of the bridge is available via Valleyview Rd, Belisle Dr, and MR 15.
