Site Plans

All new and expanded patios are required to prepare a site plan for the review and approval of the City of Greater Sudbury. The site plan must include:

• The location and size of the proposed patio or patio expansion on the property, including the location of any buildings or existing patios on site.
• If the patio will be located in an existing parking lot, the number of parking spaces that will be used for the patio and the number of parking spaces that will be available for use of the patrons.
• The location of existing and proposed new pedestrian and vehicular paths of travel.
• Plans to meet and maintain all standards for accessibility.
• Temporary tents, no larger than 10’x10’, are permitted provided they fit within the available area and comply with requirements for Fire Safety. Tents must be affixed to the ground without damage to public property or underground utilities. Only open sided roof structures and umbrellas are permitted.
