Early Childhood Educator and Child Care Worker Appreciation Day 2023

October 17th, 2023, marked the 23rd annual Child Care Worker and Early Childhood Educator Appreciation Day in Ontario. The day recognizes the commitment, hard work and dedication of Early Childhood Educators (ECEs) and people who work with young children.

To recognize these professionals, the City of Greater Sudbury’s Children Services section and community partners held events across the community, and the Mayor of Greater Sudbury will made an official proclamation.

Families were encouraged to talk to their child care, EarlyON or kindergarten program to find out how they can participate in recognizing the Early Childhood Educators and child care workers who support their children.
