Waterfront Lifeguards

Position overview:

Waterfront Lifeguards are stationed at our local beaches. They ensure all swimming guidelines are being followed, warn swimmers of potential dangers and administer lifesaving actions in emergency situations.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 15 years of age or older.
  • Must possess current National Lifeguarding (NL).
  • Must possess Standard First Aid and CPR Level C from The Lifesaving Society, Red Cross, St. John Ambulance, Canadian Ski Patrol - or any other agency listed as an approved provider by the WSIB - and uphold these certifications for the period of employment.
  • Provide, at own cost, a Vulnerable Sector Check. (Note: This will be requested by the hiring manager if you are selected as the candidate of choice. Please do not include your Vulnerable Sector Check with your application.)

$18.25 per hour (effective April 1, 2026)

Hours of Work:

  • 35 hours per week
  • Shifts are between 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
