Lasalle Boulevard at Frood Road, Sudbury
Intersection Improvements
The City of Greater Sudbury will be completing the construction of a roundabout at Lasalle Boulevard and Frood Road, in Sudbury.
Construction by the City's Contractor, Teranorth Construction & Engineering Limited, will begin June 2023 and is expected to be completed by November 2023.
This project is part of the Council-approved Capital Project for Arterial/Collector Roads Rehabilitation and Resurfacing program. The two-lane roundabout is recommended in the Transportation Master Plan and removes an area of congestion from the Maley Drive/LaSalle Boulevard corridor and completes Phase 1 of the Maley Drive Extension project.
Work will typically take place during daylight hours, Monday to Friday.
Project Highlights:
- Elimination of the existing traffic signals at Lasalle Boulevard and Frood Road and the construction of a two-lane roundabout.
- Installation of new streetlights at the roundabout
During construction, there may be dust and noise in the area. The City makes every effort to reduce the impact to nearby residents and business owners.
