Fielding Road, Lively
The City of Greater Sudbury will complete road improvements on Fielding Road, north of the bridge at Memorial Park to Industrial Road, in Lively.
As part of the 2023 budget, Council committed to an interim repair of the road while we work to develop longer-term solutions to road reconstruction and water and wastewater services. Council has also directed a detailed design analysis for Fielding Road and other industrial areas as part of our Employment Land Strategy to ensure a supply of serviced industrial land available to support economic growth in our city. The compromise of a short-term repair solution will provide additional time to explore a variety of funding opportunities.
Construction by the City’s contractor, Teranorth Construction & Engineering Limited, will begin June, 2023 to September, 2023.
Work will typically take place during daylight hours Monday to Friday; however, weekend or night work may be required.
Construction Details:
- Overbuilding roadway with 150 mm of new granular material
- Application of surface treatment
- Driveway restoration to match new road elevation
