Budget 2017: Community Meetings

As part of the process to develop the 2017 municipal budget, the City’s Chief Administrative Officer, Ed Archer, and Chief Financial Officer, Ed Stankiewicz, have been making public presentations at community meetings. To date, they have attended five meetings throughout the community with Mayor Brian Bigger and Ward Councillors also present.

The meetings are open to all residents from across the city interested in learning more about the 2017 municipal budget. Mr. Archer and Mr. Stankiewicz will be providing an overview of the budget, as well as issues the municipality is navigating and opportunities for public engagement.  

The City’s formal public input process is now closed. The results of the submissions will be shared with City Council and with the public as part of the 2017 budget process. The online interactive budget tool will remain available for those who wish to use it. 

The 2017 Budget will be tabled on Tuesday, November 15. A schedule of budget meetings is available at www.greatersudbury.ca/budget.
