Safety and Security

The cooperation of the City of Greater Sudbury Bylaw and Greater Sudbury Police Services (GSPS), along with strategic placement of support services, will make the Downtown a safer place to be.

The Downtown Action Plan commits to:

• Having an identified location to direct vulnerable populations to, such as the Social Services Hub at Energy Court, that will allow both City Bylaw Officers and GSPS to provide better public safety and enforcement.
• Collaborate with partners and Bylaw to enhance security and manage the Energy Court Hub site, with GSPS supporting through on-site policing.
