Animals at Events
Before incorporating animals into your upcoming event, we recommend reviewing the following information to familiarize yourself with the health and safety guidelines established by Public Health Sudbury and Districts.
These guidelines are designed to safeguard the welfare of both animals and event attendees, ensuring a secure and enjoyable experience for all involved. If the animals at your event are not directly interacting with the public, typically, you won't need a permit. However, if your event involves allowing attendees to touch or closely interact with the animals, then you must apply for a special event animal exhibit permit. It is the responsibility of the animal exhibit operator to adhere to these recommendations and submit a completed Special Event Animal Exhibit Permit at least 20 days prior to the event.
