Garbage Limit

  • The residential roadside garbage limit is two (2) approved bags/containers/bundles per household unit, every other week.
  • Unlimited leaf and yard trimmings collection every other week.
  • Unlimited green cart organics collection every week

  • Special programs are available for families with children under the age of four who produce extra diaper waste or for residents with medical circumstances who generate additional garbage.
  • If you need an extra bag of garbage picked up, you can buy garbage bag tags for a fee of $15 for five tags.
  • You can deliver up to 50 kg of residential waste to any landfill or the Walden Transfer Station once per week and no tipping fees will be applied. To receive this exemption, the waste must be delivered in a private motor vehicle.
