Update March 21 - 8:21 p.m. Lively Watermain Repair and Low/No Water Pressure

Mar 1, 2014

Update: March 1 - 8:21 p.m.

Water pressure has been restored to the Lively area following repairs to the bypass system put in place to continue water service while we worked to repair a previous break.

In the event of discoloured water, residents are asked to run their faucets for several minutes to clear sediment. If discoloration remains, please contact 3-1-1.

The City thanks residents for their patience, and apologizes sincerely for the challenges caused by this issue.

City of Greater Sudbury would like to inform Lively residents to conserve water while we continue work on the water main repair.

The bypass system put in place to continue water service while we worked to repair a previous break, has malfunctioned due to freezing temperatures, leaving some residents without water.

Residents may fill their own containers with municipally treated water at filling stations located on:

  • Bay Street in Whitefish,

  • Countryside Drive in Sudbury, near the Gerry McCrory Countryside Sports Complex,

Residents who can access these fill stations are asked to share resources with neighbours and relatives.

We will continue to provide updates as they become available.
