Traffic Update

Big Nickel Road:

Motorists are advised to consider alternate routes during a major road improvement project on Big Nickel Road. Construction will reduce Big Nickel Road to one lane and rock blasting will halt traffic for up to 30 minutes, starting Monday, June 23. Blasting and road construction are scheduled Mondays to Fridays, between 8 a.m. and sunset, at least until July 31. The entrance to Dynamic Earth and the Big Nickel will remain open for the duration of construction with recommended access via Lorne Street to avoid delays.

Fourth Avenue at Navanod Road:

Fourth Avenue at Navanod Road in Sudbury will be reduced to one lane for a culvert repair on Monday, June 23. Paving is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, June 24, with additional lane closures.

M.R. 15:

Starting Monday, June 23 until Friday, June 27 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. , shouldering and paving will reduce traffic to one lane on M.R. 15 from Highway 144 to Whitson River Bridge.

Barry Downe Road:

Barry Downe Road, south of Maley Drive, in Sudbury will be reduced to one lane for a culvert repair on Wednesday, June 25. Paving is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, June 26, requiring further lane reductions.
