March Break Mini Food Festival at the Greater Sudbury Public Library

The Main Library will be hosting a Mini Food Festival in partnership with EarthCare Sudbury.  Everyone is invited to visit the Greater Sudbury Public Library Main Branch to explore the world of food during a March Break Mini Food Festival on Tuesday, March 11, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Greater Sudbury Public Library Main Branch, 74 Mackenzie Street, Sudbury and on Thursday March 13, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Anderson Farm Museum, 550 Regional Road /Highway 24, Lively.

The festival will feature demonstrations, crafts, information booths hosted by participating organizations, and the chance to win prizes. Participating organizations include the Sudbury & District Health Unit,  Sudbury Beekeepers Association and Eat Local Sudbury Cooperative as well as EarthCare Sudbury and the Greater Sudbury Public Library.

The United Nations has declared 2014 as the International Year of Family Farming. EarthCare Sudbury has dedicated the year to join the global dialogue on food. Please go to www.greatersudbury.ca/earthcare for updates and activities.
