As of April 30, 2026, the City of Greater Sudbury has lifted the Significant Weather Event declared on March 15, 2026.
The City of Greater Sudbury is making improvements at the Walden Transfer Station to provide a more convenient experience for residents. Work will begin Tuesday, May 19, 2026, and will continue for approximately six weeks.
Based on declining water levels and the latest data and projections from Conservation Sudbury, the City of Greater Sudbury has lifted the State of Emergency which was declared on April 21.
The City of Greater Sudbury is located on the Traditional Territory of Atikameksheng Anishnawbek and Wahnapitae First Nation who are signatories to the Robinson Huron Treaty of 1850.
