Standing Orders

If you require the same ride on a regular basis, GOVA Plus may allow you to place a Standing-Order for the ride.  This is dependent on the availability of resources on the requested days and times.

Standing Orders may be booked if the rides:

  • Occur on the same day of the week,

  • Happen at the same time,

  • Are to and from the same addresses.

If the Standing Order you requested is not available, all rides will need to be booked individually using the regular booking process.

Additional trips outside of your Standing Order must be booked separately.

To ensure that GOVA Plus service is efficient, reliable and remains in effect, Standing Orders must remain unchanged and be used at least 75% of the time within any given calendar month.  Improper use of a Standing Order affects the level of service we can provide to our passengers.  If you cancel more than 25% of your Standing Order rides in any calendar month:

    • First Notice:  Results in a phone call to determine if the registrant’s travel needs have changed and be reminded that if use of the Standing Order does not increase to 75% or more, the Standing Order will be removed.

    • Second Notice:  Results in a letter informing the registrant that because use of the Standing Order has not increased to 75% or more, the Standing Order has been removed, and the registrant is now required to book individual rides.

Reactivation of a Standing-Order

After 90 days of being served with the Second Notice, the registrant may re-apply for a Standing Order, pending the availability of resources on the requested days and times; however, any subsequent misuse will result in permanent removal of this option.

  • Standing Orders are automatically cancelled on holidays. If your Standing Order ride occurs on a holiday, you must book this ride separately.
