Residents Invited To Attend 2018 Municipal and School Board Election Information Sessions

Voters, candidates and third party advertisers are invited to attend one of two sessions which will cover a variety of important election topics. 

Sessions will be held in the Council Chamber of Tom Davies Square, located at 200 Brady St., on Wednesday, July 11, 2018.  The first session will begin at 2 p.m. and the second session will begin at 6 p.m. The evening information session will be livestreamed at www.greatersudbury.ca/livestream.

Short presentations will begin the information sessions and will focus on key election dates, general campaign rules, voting locations, electronic voting, roles and responsibilities of candidates, third party advertisers and elected officials, and more.

Following the presentations, representatives from the City of Greater Sudbury, the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Dominion Voting Systems will be available for a question and answer period. 

Voters will have the opportunity to view a step-by-step demonstration of electronic voting and learn about changes coming to the 2018 election.
