Bancroft Drive, Sudbury- A private company will close a section of the eastbound curb lane on Bancroft at Second Avenue on Thursday, January 18 for repairs to a manhole. Work will take place from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Residents of Lively may notice a period of temporary low water pressure on Wednesday, January 17 from 10 a.m. to Thursday, January 18 at 4 p.m. due to a water main break in the Lively area.

Ramsey Lake Skating Path Now Open

The Ramsey Lake Skating Path will open today from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.. and begin regular hours of operation, Monday to Friday from 4: p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from noon to 8 p.m. and on Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.

Mayor Bigger to lead delegation to meet with mining leaders in Finland

Mayor Brian Bigger will lead a delegation to Tornio, Finland to meet with mining industry leaders from Outokumpu, a world class ferrochrome production facility. The delegation will also meet with municipal, public health and economic development officials. The visit is an opportunity to learn from what is considered the best ferrochrome production facility in the world.

Traffic Update- MR 35

MR 35, Azilda- Motorists are advised that the permanent traffic signals recently installed on Municipal Road 35 at the Day Construction/Milman Industries entrance will be activated on January 16, 2018 after 9:30 am, weather permitting. Lights are located approximately 2 km west of the existing traffic signals at Clarabelle Road. Motorists are asked to be alert and cautious when proceeding through the intersection.

Council Selects Location for Convention and Performance Centre, and Library and Art Gallery

City Council has selected the current Sudbury Community Arena site at 240 Elgin St. as the future location of the Greater Sudbury Convention and Performance Centre, and the Library and Art Gallery.
