Residential and non-residential roadside waste collection services will be rescheduled. Please do not place garbage, green carts or blue boxes at the roadside, as this may impact road clearing efforts. Alternate pickup dates will be communicated once available. We will provide an update once bulky item collection service has been restored.
Due to the winter storm event, furniture, appliance and electronic collection services are also temporarily suspended. Please do not place these items at the roadside, in laneways or on top of snowbanks, as they may impact snow clearing operations.
New Green Cart requests have also been suspended.
All landfill sites and the Recycling Centre are closed.

- Your Blue Box recycling collection is provided by WM on behalf of Circular Materials Ontario (CMO).
- For Blue Box inquiries including missed pick-up or new and replacement Blue Boxes, please contact WM at 1-800-561-1655 or canresidential@wm.com.
- To find out what is recyclable in your Blue Box program, visit circularmaterials.ca/Sudbury.
6-unit buildings built in 2026 or later
- Your Blue Box recycling collection is provided the City.
- For Blue Box inquiries including missed pick-up, please contact 311.
- To find out what is recyclable in the City’s Blue Box program, use the Waste Wise tool.
