Buildings with 7 or more residential units that received municipal services prior to December 31, 2025
- Your Blue Box recycling collection is provided by WM on behalf of Circular Materials Ontario.

Buildings with 7 or more residential units that did not receive municipal services prior to December 31, 2025
You can apply for recycling and garbage collection from the City by contacting 311.
The City of Greater Sudbury only collects recycling from multi-unit residences with 7 or more residential units if there is an agreement in place and an annual fee is paid.
Once your property has an agreement in place:
- Your Blue Box recycling collection will be provided by the City.
- For Blue Box inquiries including missed pick-up, please contact 311.
- To find out what is recyclable in the City’s Blue Box program, use the Waste Wise tool.
If no municipal waste collection agreement is in place:
- Your Blue Box collection is provided by a private waste hauler.
- Contact your private waste collection hauler for inquiries including missed pick-up.

- If you see “More information about my services”, click to read more. This means your building was built prior to December 31, 2025 and CMO provides your recycling services. Their contact details and the link to know what it recyclable will appear when you click the link You can still use Waste Wise for your collection day calendar.
- If this message does not appear, your Blue Box collection is provided by the City or a private waste hauler. Tenants should contact their property owner/manager.
