Hazardous Waste

Residential and non-residential roadside waste collection services will be rescheduled. Please do not place garbage, green carts or blue boxes at the roadside, as this may impact road clearing efforts. Alternate pickup dates will be communicated once available. We will provide an update once bulky item collection service has been restored.

Due to the winter storm event, furniture, appliance and electronic collection services are also temporarily suspended. Please do not place these items at the roadside, in laneways or on top of snowbanks, as they may impact snow clearing operations.

New Green Cart requests have also been suspended.

All landfill sites and the Recycling Centre are closed.

Any non-residential items must be disposed of by contacting a private hazardous waste management company.

Items from residential sources can be brought to the Household Hazardous Waste Depot on select Saturdays, or a Toxic Taxi collection appointment can be made by calling 705-560-9019 or by booking on the Waste Wise app or online tool.
