Advisory Panels
Advisory panels are established through provincial legislation or by way of Council resolution to provide advice, information and expertise to the municipality on specific municipal matters.
Advisory Panel Membership
Citizens and stakeholders may apply to be a member of an advisory panel through a public application process. The Nominating Committee will make a recommendation to Council to appoint members to various panels. Members of Council may be included, provided they do not represent a majority of the panel’s members.
Advisory panel meetings are informal, and the mandate of the panel will depend on its specific purpose.
