Minor Variance Application Hearings

All applications that are being considered will include a public hearing during which:

  • Applicants are able to speak on behalf of their application and respond to questions from the Committee;
  • Residents can provide comments on the application.

The Committee may approve a minor variance if all of the following criteria are met:

  • The variance must be minor;
  • The variance must desirable for the appropriate development or use of the land, building or structure;
  • The general intent and purpose of the Zoning By-law must be maintained;
  • The general intent and purpose of the Official Plan must be maintained.
