Volunteer Firefighter Recruitment Now Open
Mar 2, 2026
The City of Greater Sudbury is now accepting applications for volunteer firefighters. We are seeking dedicated team players in good mental and physical health to join our team. Recruitment for 2026 will close April 15, at 11:59 p.m.
People interested in becoming a volunteer firefighter are also encouraged to attend one of four open houses to gain insight into the role. These sessions will allow individuals to ask questions, interact with current firefighters and learn firsthand about the responsibilities and experiences associated with firefighting.
