Applications Open for Regional Business Centre's Summer Company Program
Mar 3, 2026
The City of Greater Sudbury’s Regional Business Centre (RBC) is now accepting applications for Summer Company, a provincial program delivered locally, free of charge, by the RBC. The program is designed for students aged 15 to 29 who are interested in starting and running their own business over the summer.
Through this program, participants have access to business training, one-on-one mentorship from local business leaders, and networking opportunities. Through Summer Company, students build skills in planning, communication, financial management, and problem-solving that can help make their business idea a real summer venture and can be applied to future opportunities. Participants who meet the program requirements are also eligible to receive a grant of up to $3,000 from the Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade to help cover startup costs.
Past Summer Company participants have launched a wide variety of summer businesses, including landscaping services, food vendors, media creation, design and visual arts, drone photography, dog walking and personal training.
Applications for the program are now open. The deadline to apply is April 30, 2026.
