Applications for the 2025 intake of the Starter Company Plus Program Are Now Open

The City of Greater Sudbury’s Regional Business Centre is now accepting applications for the Starter Company Plus program, an initiative designed to support aspiring and existing entrepreneurs in launching or expanding their small businesses.

Starter Company Plus provides participants with business training, mentorship, and the opportunity to receive a grant of up to $5,000 to help develop their business. The program is open to residents of Greater Sudbury and surrounding areas who are 18 years or older and not currently enrolled in full-time education. Participants will receive expert guidance on business planning, marketing, financial management, and other key areas essential for business success.

“Before joining the Starter Company Plus program, I felt unsure about how to structure my goals and focus my time,” said Annette Gladu, Co-Founder of Barnone by Cassie and participant in the 2024 Starter Company Plus Program. “The program provided guidance, mentorship, and practical tools to organize my vision and take actionable steps. Now, I have a professional business plan, a solid understanding of marketing and branding, and the confidence to grow my business.”

Applications for the program are now open, and interested individuals can apply online at the Regional Business Centre website at regionalbusiness.ca/programs/startercompanyplus/ for more details.

The deadline to apply is February 23, 2025.
